Members of VFW Memorial Post 8924 attend the Annual Blankets and Bears Gala 2026. This non-profit organization not only supports our local youths in need, they too, are one of our biggest supporters. It was an honor to attend and support such a great cause. 

 

Blankets and Bears has been a beacon of hope since its inception in 2009. The organization was created with a focus on helping abused, traumatized, and sexual assaulted children. They are in partnership with official agencies, identify and reach out to local youths in need. They started by offering tangible symbols of love to these children in need - the blankets and stuffed bears that have come to define their brand and mission. From there, their resources of support have grown and continue to expand.
